Dolores M. Simmons of Swedesburg

Dolores M. Simmons, age 81, of Swedesburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Park Creek Place in North Wales, surrounded by family. Dolores was born in Swedesburg and was the daughter of the late Stanley Leszczynski and the late Frances Sitarz Leszczynski. She was the devoted wife of the late William J. Simmons, who died in 2014, the loving mother of John (Francine) Simmons of King of Prussia, William (Jennifer) Simmons of Pottstown and Susan (Mark) Shannon of Swedesburg. In addition, Dolores is survived by her beloved brother, Stanley (Marge) Leszczynski, her 8 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Simmons was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School and worked as a secretary in the Upper Merion school district for over 30 years. She was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church and their St. Cecelia’s Choir. She was also a former member of The B.V.M. Sodality and worked on the church’s festival committee.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 14, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, PA., 19405. Dolores’ viewing will be held in the church from 9 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
