Philip T. Giovinco, 85, of East Norriton

Philip T. Giovinco, 85, of East Norriton, PA passed away peacefully on March 28, 2018 with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Norristown, PA on December 8, 1932, the son of the late Gerald and Alice (Skelly) Giovinco.

Phil has been a resident of East Norriton for 60 years, formerly of Norristown.

He was a faithful member of Saint Titus RC Church where he was the former President of the Pastoral Council and an Usher for many years.

Phil was a Physical Education teacher for 35 years for the Norristown Area School District. He also coached many sports and announced football games at Roosevelt Field.

Phil also enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, and dancing. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Louise (Rappatone) Giovinco of East Norriton; four sons: Gerald (& Shari) Giovinco of The Villages, FL, Thomas Giovinco of St. Petersburg, FL, James (& Patricia) Giovinco of Cape Coral, FL, and Gregg (& Jennifer) Giovinco of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Mary Alice Land of East Norriton; five grandchildren: Jenna, Michael, Natalie, Derek and Vincenzo; as well as nieces & nephews. Along with his parents, Phil was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Thomas Giovinco and daughter in law, Belinda Giovinco.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM from St. Titus RC Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, East Norriton, PA 19403. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Titus Church at the above address.
