Dorothy Winther Goodsell Larkins of Alburtis, Pa., formerly of Bryn Mawr, Pa., passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 in Palatka, Florida.

She was the beloved wife of David H. Larkins.

Born November 5, 1946 in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Winther and the late Dorothy Nase Winther.

Dorothy was a graduate of Haverford High School, Havertown, Pa. She attended East Orange Secretaria­l School in East Orange, N.J. and upon graduation worked for CertainTee­d Corporatio­n in King of Prussia, Pa. Dorothy then returned to school to earn a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Immaculata College, Media, Pa. From there she attended West Chester University, West Chester, Pa., to obtain her master’s degree, then onto Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama to receive her PhD.

Dorothy spent most of her career in northern New Jersey working for various pharmaceut­ical companies as an industrial psychologi­st, retiring in 2003.

She spent the following years traveling the world with her husband, David.

Dorothy is survived by her sister Judith Lapinski (Paul). She is the mother of Elizabeth Goodsell Holmes and stepmother to David H. Larkins, Jr. (Michelle) and Melissa Larkins. Dorothy has three grandchild­ren, Jacob, Nathan, and Zachary Holmes and four stepgrandc­hildren, Emily, Eliza, Charlotte Larkins and Sadie Larkins. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

A memorial picnic will be held at Lock Ridge Park in Alburtis, Pa., in the near future for those who wish to gather together in Dorothy’s memory.
