Helen A. Brown of Hatfield

Helen A. “Nancy” Brown, age 88, of Hatfield and formerly of Lansdale and Conshohocken, died on Friday, June 1, 2018.

Born in Conshohocken on February 17, 1930, daughter of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Kennedy) Durkin. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Brown Sr.

Born and raised in Conshohocken, she attended St. Matthew’s Grade School and High School and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls. She enjoyed shopping and yard sales. Above all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 sons, Kevin (Patty), Matthew., 2 daughters Karen (Thomas) Hill and Jacqueline (John) Houser; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a sister Patricia Accor, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by 3 sons James J. Jr, Michael J., Daniel J.; a granddaughter Kelly Brown; a brother Thomas Durkin and 3 sisters Gertrude Durkin, Rosemary Skelton and Dolores Richmond.

Relatives and friends may pay respects on Friday morning June 8, from 9-10:50am at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken. A service will commence at the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment, Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken.
