Shirley E. Musselman of Norristown

Shirley E. (Tinkler) Musselman, born March 30, 1931, in Norristown, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 14, 2018 with her daughters by her side. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Irene Tinkler. Married 65 years to the late Truxton S. Musselman, they were blessed with three children, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her a son, Dr. Kirk Musselman (Joan) of Pittsburgh. Survived by two daughters, Cindy Brandon (Mike) of Maryland; HollyDavis of Norristown.

One of Shirley’s favorite things was spending time with her family at holiday gatherings, Saturday morning breakfasts with her best friends, and relaxing on her balcony.

A Class of ‘49 graduate from Norristown High School, Shirley attended nursing school at Abington Hospital. She was an operating room nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for 25 years. One thing she enjoyed was getting together with classmates to help plan Class Reunions and lunch with her sorority friends from nursing school.

She was a member of Valley Forge Baptist.

Shirley loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Shirley’s Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Saturday, July 21st at 11 a.m. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the interment is private.
