Mary Grace Spilman, age 81, of Collegevil­le, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Parkhouse Nursing & Rehab.

She was born in Versailles, KY on Sunday May 16, 1937, a daughter of the late Waldo and Lucile (Thompson) Woodyard. Mary Grace then lived in Athens, Ohio until returning to Versailles to be with her grandparen­ts and attend college. She has been living in Collegevil­le for 49 years, formerly of Roxborough and Plymouth Meeting. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Whitemarsh Arts Center. Mary Grace was also active with the League of Women Voters as well as with Civics in Lower Providence Township. As an avid flower gardener and member of the African Violet Society, she was active with the Philadelph­ia Flower Show. She taught children’s pottery classes at the Whitemarsh Community Art Center as well as being on it’s board of directors.

Survivors include her husband, Charles M. Spilman, Jr.; son, Mark T. (& Lisa) Spilman; sister, Katherine (& John) Kane; brother, James (& Margaret) Woodyard; and two grandchild­ren, Tara & Kendra.

Along with her parents, Mary Grace was preceded in death by her son, James “Jamie” S. Spilman.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
