Salvation Army kicks off Red Kettle bell campaign
The Salvation Army of Norristown celebrated the season of generosity with its annual Red Kettle Kick-Off, on Tuesday morning, Nov. 13, on the steps of the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown.
The Kettle Kick-Off featured live festive music from The Salvation Army’s Brass ensemble, and free coffee and hot chocolate served from its Emergency Disaster Services canteen truck. Salvation Army officers, staff and volunteers were also joined by Montgomery County Commissioners’ Chair Dr. Valerie A. Arkoosh, Montgomery County Commissioner Joseph C. Gale, Montgomery County Commissioner Ken Lawrence and other local officials. The County Commissioners joined together and made the first ceremonial donation to The Salvation Army of Norristown’s 2018 Red Kettle Campaign (seen in photos.)
