Aldi in King of Prussia hiring

UPPER MERION >> Interested in earning above-average wages working for a grocery store chain that’s been named one of America’s Best Large Employers by Forbes four years in a row?

Aldi will host a hiring event in the Clock Tower Court (the former JC Penney court) at King of Prussia Mall, 160 N. Gulph Road, King of Prussia, on Sunday, Feb. 10, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Available positions include Shift Manager; Full and PartTime Store Associate; Part-Time Cashier and Part-Time Stocker.

The starting hourly rate ranges from $13.10 to $17.35.

All applicants must be 18 years or older to apply, available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday-Sunday and able to lift 45 pounds. High school diploma or GED and retail experience preferred.

Employees averaging more than 25 hours per week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees are invited to participat­e in the company’s 401(k) program.

A press release indicated that Aldi offers wages and benefits that are higher than the national average for the retail industry and is currently investing $3.4 billion to open new stores across the country, with plans to expand to 2,500 stores nationwide by the end of 2022 from the more than 1,800 U.S. stores it currently operates.

Named a National Top Workplace by Workplace Dynamics in 2017 and 2018 for having high employee engagement, Aldi has been recognized as one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in the Nation by the National Associatio­n for Business Resources and was named to Indeed’s list of 2018 Best Places to Work: Compensati­on and Benefits.

A leader in the grocery retailing industry since 1976, Aldi operates more than 1,800 U.S. stores in 35 states, the release noted, adding that “More than 40 million customers each month benefit from the simple, streamline­d approach Aldi brings to retailing,” with frequently purchased grocery and household items primarily under its exclusive brands, which “meet or exceed national name brands on taste and quality.”

Aldi has been one of America’s favorite grocery retailers, and for the eighth consecutiv­e year, the Value Leader for grocery shoppers, according to a 2018 survey of U.S. consumers by Market Force Informatio­n.
