Upper Dublin finished the season with a 14-8 record out of the Suburban One League American Conference. Downingtow­n West also went 14-8 out of the Chest-Mont League National Division.

The Cardinals enter the playoffs with some momentum, riding a threegame winning streak. They knocked off Wissahicko­n, Springfiel­d Township and Faith Christian Academy to close out the regular season.

The winner faces No. 1 Abington in the second round. CHELTENHAM VS. NORTH PENN >> The No. 9 Panthers will host the No. 24 Knights Friday.

Cheltenham went 15-6 this season as a member of the SOL American Conference. North Penn finished 9-13 from the SOL Continenta­l.

Of the Panthers six losses this season, two came against top-seeded Abington and two against Philadelph­ia Catholic League powers Archbishop Carroll and La Salle College High School.

North Penn enters the playoffs on a four-game losing streak. The Knights have lost games to Quakertown, Central Bucks West, Central Bucks South and Pennridge since the final day of January.

The winner faces No. 8 Perk Valley in the second round. SPRING-FORD VS. COUNCIL ROCK NORTH >> The No. 13 Rams will host the No. 20 Indians Friday.

Spring-Ford went 15-7 out of the Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division while CR North finished 14-8 from the SOL National.

The Rams faced a tough schedule during the regular season, facing Norristown, Perk Valley and Methacton — three top-eight seeds in the district — two times each. They went 1-5 in those games.

The winner faces No. 4 Pennridge in the second round. CENTRAL BUCKS EAST VS. CENTRAL BUCKS WEST >> The No. 12 Patriots host the No. 21 Bucks Friday.

Both teams from the SOL Continenta­l, East finished the year 15-7 while West went 11-11.

These cross-town rivals met twice during the regular season. East won, 61-58, at home in December and West defended its homecourt, 5949, in January.

The winner faces No. 5 Norristown in the second round. PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH VS. HAVERFORD >> The No. 11 Colonials host the No. 22 Fords Friday at 7 p.m.

The Colonials finished the season 14-8 out of the SOL American, while the Central League’s Haverford went 129.

Plymouth Whitemarsh, which will be playing its first postseason game in its new Gym West, has reached the district final four each of the last four seasons. Center Naheem McLeod is the only player on the team with major playoff experience. He played a backup role in 2016 before starting in 2017 and 2018.

The winner faces No. 6 Chester in the second round. The last time PW faced Chester in the playoffs, it was the 2016 district championsh­ip game, won by the Colonials. GIRLS BASKETBALL

Spring-Ford, Upper Dublin, Abington and Souderton all earned first-round byes. They will start their postseason runs Wednesday February 20. METHACTON VS. UNIONVILLE >> The No. 9 Warriors host the No. 24 Indians Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

Methacton finished the regular season 18-4 out of the PAC Liberty while Unionville went 10-12 from the Ches-Mont American.

The Warriors still have some unfinished league business to tend to before setting their sites on district. After defeating Pottsgrove in the PAC Final Four, they will face Spring-Ford for the league title Wednesday night.

The winner will face No. 8 Downingtow­n East in the second round. HAVERFORD VS. NORTH PENN >> The No. 20 Knights will travel to the No. 13 Fords Friday.

North Penn finished 10-12 out of the SOL Continenta­l while Haverford went 16-6 in the Central League.

The Knights enter the postseason winners of three of their last four games. Wins over Quakertown, CB South and Pennridge surround a tough, three-point loss on the road against Central Bucks West.

The winner will face No. 4 Spring-Ford in the second round. PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH VS. BENSALEM >> The No. 12 Colonials host the No. 21 Owls Friday at 5:30 p.m.

PW finished the regular season 18-4 in the SOL American while Bensalem went 13-9 in the SOL National.

All four of the Colonials losses came against Upper Dublin and Abington — two teams with first-round byes.

The winner will face No. 5 Upper Dublin in the second round. WEST CHESTER RUSTIN VS. PENNRIDGE >> The No. 23 Rams travel to the No. 10 Golden Knights Friday.

Pennridge went 9-13 this season out of the SOL Continenta­l while Rustin was 16-6 in the Chest-Mont American.

The Rams struggled down the stretch of the season but managed to stay in the playoff picture. Before winning their season finale over Villa Joseph Marie, they lost six straight games dating back to January 24.

The winner will face No. 7 Council Rock North in the second round. CENTRAL BUCKS WEST VS. UPPER DARBY >> The No. 14 Bucks will host the No. 19 Royals Friday.

CB West posted a 14-8 record out of the SOL Continenta­l while Upper Darby went 13-9 out of the Central League.

The Bucks enter the postseason winners of three of their last four and five of their last seven. They have dominated their last two games, beating Quakertown, 70-27, and CB South, 51-19.

The winner will face No. 3 Abington in the second round.
