Food distribution sites for area children, families

Following are the food distribution sites in the area:

• Norristown “Grab-and-go” meal bags will be handed out on two dates.

On Wednesday and again on March 25 meal bags will be distributed at Gotwals Elementary School starting at 9:30 a.m. A drive-through process will be used.

A total of 10 meals, five lunch and five breakfast, will be given out on each date. Any district student or any of their siblings under the age of 18 can receive meals.

Children must be on-hand to receive meals.

• Perkiomen Valley Breakfast and lunch will be available for pick-up at two locations starting Monday.

Bagged meals can be picked up between 9 a.m. and noon at Perkiomen Valley High School or Schwenksville Elementary School. Those who wish to pick up meals are asked to contact the school district ahead of time to help determine how many meals need to be prepared.

PV Power Packs will be providing supplemental food for the next two weeks as well.

Families can opt to pick up on Tuesday or Friday between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. am or 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at either the high school or Schwenksville Elementary.

These food bags will contain a week’s worth of food. • Upper Merion

The district will be handing out meals on five dates over the next two weeks.

The meals will be available Tuesday and Thursday this week, as well as March 23, march 25 and March 27.
