Headliners named for 2021 Citadel Country Spirit fest

GLENMOORE » Citadel Country Spirit USA has announced the headliners for the GMC Sierra Stage at its 2021 festival, which will take place Aug. 27-29 at Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show Grounds, Glenmoore, Chester County.

Brantley Gilbert will headline on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021. Justin Moore, Rodney Atkins, RaeLynn and Niko Moon also will perform.

Miranda Lambert headlines on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021. Brett Young, Carly Pearce, Jon Langston and Muscadine Bloodline also will perform.

Chris Young, scheduled to headline in 2020, headlines on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021. Josh Turner, Scotty McCreery and Lindsay Ell also will perform.

The festival features 20 country music acts performing on two stages — 14 nationally recognized artists on the GMC Sierra Stage and up-and-comers on the Citadel Rising Star Stage.

Previously purchased three-day passes, single-day tickets and parking upgrades for the postponed 2020 festival will be honored for the 2021 dates. Ticket exchanges and refunds are available Sept. 2-9.

Tran lands lead role in Disney’s ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’

LOS ANGELES » Kelly Marie Tran will bring the warrior Raya to life in Disney’s animated film “Raya and the Last Dragon,” replacing Cassie Steele, who previously held the titular role.

That makes Tran the first Southeast Asian actress to lead an animated Disney film that is also inspired by Southeast Asia. The picture has also named new directors, Don Hall and Carlos Lopez Estrada, who join “Raya” story artists Paul Briggs and Dean Wellins at the helm.
