James P. Donaghy

James P. Donaghy (Jim) age 87 passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 with his family by his side.

Loving husband of Margaret Donaghy (nee McLaughlin). Beloved brother of Patrick Donaghy (Grace). Devoted father of Theresa Donaghy; James Donaghy, Jr. (Charlene); Kevin Donaghy (Margie); Brian Donaghy (Jacquie); and Gerard Donaghy (Rachel). Grandfather of Juliet Donaghy Skopek (Andrew); Brittanie Donaghy (fiancée James); Jennifer Donaghy; Brian “Rob” Donaghy; Shane Donaghy; and James H. Donaghy. Also survived by great-grandchildren Eli, Justin, and Grayson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jim was born in Philadelphia on March 15, 1933. He was a proud graduate of Roman Catholic High School and attended college at Temple University. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War and served at what is now the NSA. His time with the US Army introduced him to computers and set the stage for a technology career that included GE Aerospace, EVP of Broadcast Operations at ABC in New York, NY and President of Enterprise Software Company in Colorado Springs, CO.

Jim was an avid Philadelphia sports fan with a special liking for the Phillies and Eagles. He could be found watching their games with his wife Marge an equally passionate fan. Together they raised their five children in Audubon, PA and were members of Saint Teresa’s Parish in Audubon for nearly 50 years before moving to New Port Richey, Florida.

He will be greatly missed, but may rest in peace through his faith in God and knowing he was loved and admired by his family and friends.
