Phoenixville Bed Races raise money for local charities

PHOENIXVILLE >> The 5th Annual Phoenixville Bed Races recently took place in the borough to the delight of area residents. Race teams built, decorate, and raced beds on wheels down Second Avenue in Reeves Park to raise funds for local nonprofits. Prizes were awarded for Fastest Bed, Best Team Theme, and “Fasests Raise” (most funds raised). This year’s proceeds benefited two local agencies that provide shelter beds for area residents: Ann’s Heart and Good Samaritan Services.
