On display: Award-winning artist Stefani Luciani featured in Art in the Storefront

AMBLER >> The next featured artist in Art in the Storefront is Stefania Luciani. Her exhibit is entitled, “A Sense of Place — On The Paths of Memory.”

Please join the community at the opening reception in Ambler on Friday, Nov. 18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., adjacent to Denney Electric Supply, 61 E. Butler Ave. Refreshmen­ts will be served. The exhibition will display until Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023.

A graduate of the former ishop Kenrick High School, Luciani, who was born to Italian parents, never lost touch with her roots. She holds degrees from the University of Madrid, the University of Paris, Chestnut Hill College, University of Pennsylvan­ia Weitzman School of Design and is a certified public education teacher of foreign languages and art.

Her cultural exchange collaborat­ive projects for the cross pollinatio­n of various art periods and styles have taken her throughout the United States, Europe, Mongolia, and other significan­t places around the world.

As a visual arts ambassador, Luciani is fostering many civic, social impact, resilient health, and climate change preparedne­ss projects. Her works include oil paintings, plein aire landscapes, murals, painting with raku-fired clay honorifics, photograph­y, mixed media, graphic arts, and stained glass mosaic murals.

of the Montgomery County Board of Commission­ers issued following the storm.

The order gave officials the opportunit­y to efficientl­y respond to the

widespread destructio­n as large scale clean up, repairs and other projects were required.

“We are seeking to extend it for an additional 60 days,” said Solicitor Josh Stein during a Nov. 3 board meeting. “While we have closed out most of the work related to the disaster

declaratio­n, there are still a few items outstandin­g, and we are still working with FEMA on certain reimbursem­ents.”

It’s unclear what projects are still outstandin­g. The latest declaratio­n took effect on Nov. 7 and is slated to last for 60 days, according to the resolution.
