Literacy Council of Norristown makes generous donation to Norristown Area School District

NORRISTOWN >> The Literacy Council of Norristown generously made a donation to Norristown Area School District to support the development of the district’s earliest readers in all K-2 district classrooms. The funds will be used to provide instructional materials to staff to support student understanding of phonemic awareness, which is the ability to hear, identify, and manipulate the different sounds of the English language. Strong phonemic awareness plays a critical role in foundational reading skills. NASD is grateful for the continued partnership with the Literacy council.
