SOL announces all-league teams

The Suburban One League recently announced its all-league teams for girls and boys soccer.

Not surprising­ly, the Pennridge girls had four players on the Colonial first team. Junior Liv Grenda, junior Anna Croyle, junior Tori Angelo and junior Lindsey Balmer were all firstteame­rs.

CB West goalie Jules Broskey and senior Courtney Moylan were also honored, as was North Penn’s senior Lauren Blanch.

Over in the Liberty Divsion, both Abington and Wissahicko­n each placed three players on the first team. Senior Maura Day, senior Carley Slavin and junior Piper McGinley were all first-teamers for Abington. For HatboroHor­sham, junior Emma Levin and senior Caroline Shegogue were honored. For Wisshaicko­n, senior Margo Kasenchar, senior Sage Stetzler and senior Kylie Friedman all made the cut.

Over in the Freedom Division, Willow Taylor, Annalise Messina and Kylie Wiest were all firstteame­rs from Upper Moreland. Lower Moreland’s Payton Lennon and Amelia Brown made the cut, as did Tennent’s Kaitlyn Frank and Erin Sommervill­e. Springfiel­d’s Kaleigh Evans and Alana Decker were also honored, as was Cheltenham’s Amelia Fishman.

For the boys, it was also a Pennridge-dominated first team in the Colonial. Senior goalie CJ Dimmick, senior Shane Velez, senior Jared Hess and senior Thomas McKinney were all first-teamers.

Over in the Liberty, Upper Dublin and Abington each put three players on the first team. Senior Miles Bondi, senior Daniel Gorman and senior Chris McMeel from Upper Dublin all made the cut. Abington’s senior Liam Hartman, senior Drew Paxson and senior Luke O’Donnell were all first-teamers.

Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Mason Clatterbac­k made the cut, as did HatboroHor­sham’s senior Jake Freedman and senior Jacob Kim.

Over in the Freedom Division, PIAA 3A finalist Springfiel­d put three players on the first team. Making the cut from the Spartans were Julian CasabonAzn­ar, Peter Schmidt and Riley Martin.

Lower Moreland’s Ian Alicea, Gave Krutsinger and Sam Morris were all first-teamers. Also making the team were Upper Moreland’s Mike Scollon and Max Gerlach, as did Tennent’s Connor Hanratty and Cheltenham’s Cameron Rhoades.
