DA announces investigation into shooting homicide in Norristown

NORRISTOWN >> Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Norristown Police Chief Derrick Wood announce an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 10 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 on West Main Street in Norristown. The victim was identified as Tyrone Guy, 35, of Philadelphia.

Norristown Police responded to the 900 block of West Main Street to a report of shots fired and found the victim on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he died of his wounds at approximately 2 a.m. A joint investigation into the homicide has been launched by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau and Norristown

Police.

An autopsy was conducted on the Guy’s body by Forensic Pathologist Victoria Sorokin of the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office. Dr. Sorokin determined the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death was homicide.
