NORRISTOWN >> A Pottstown man who authorities said operated a crack cocaine trafficking business out of a Norristown apartment has been sent to jail after pleading guilty to drug-related charges.

Andre Keyone “Moon” Glover, 42, of the unit block of Chestnut Street in Pottstown, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 11½ to 23 months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine in connection with incidents that occurred in Norristown in February 2020.

Judge Thomas C. Branca also ordered Glover to complete five years’ probation following parole, meaning Glover will be under court supervision for about 7 years.

Glover is eligible for the jail’s work release program during the period of incarceration, according to the sentence that was reached by agreement between the prosecution and defense.

The investigation began in November 2019 when detectives with the Montgomery County Municipal Drug Task Force received tips from confidential sources that Glover was trafficking illegal drugs, specifically crack cocaine, in various locations throughout Montgomery County.

“These informants stated that Glover primarily sells his drugs in Norristown

Borough, but will travel to other municipalities within Montgomery County for the purpose of trafficking illegal drugs,” detectives wrote in the arrest affidavit.

The informants told detectives that Glover stayed at an apartment in the 500 block of Swede Street in Norristown where he “not only sells drugs but also stores the drugs that he has available for sale,” according to the criminal complaint.

During the investigation, informants purchased drugs from Glover during multiple controlled buys and detectives had Glover under surveillance. Detectives subsequently obtained a warrant to search the Swede Street apartment and showed up

there on Feb. 12, 2020, according to court papers.

The searches resulted in the seizure of bulk crack cocaine and two digital scales commonly used to break down large amounts of drugs into smaller amounts in preparation for street sales, according to court documents.

Detectives also seized more than $1,100 in cash, “most of which was in small denominations, consistent with what would be found on someone engaging in the sale of small amounts of crack cocaine,” and multiple cellphones, according to court papers.

Other charges of criminal use of a communication facility and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed against Glover.
