SOL football announces all-league teams
The Suburban One League recently announced its all-league teams.
Not surprisingly, North Penn had three players on the SOL National offensive first team led by quarterback Ryan Zeltt. Also from North Penn, offensive lineman Mikai Green and wide receiver Yazeed Haynes were first-teamers.
CB West was also represented on offense with offensive lineman Carter Charran and tight end Jack Donnelly. Defensive back Cooper Taylor from CB West was also a firstteam selection, as was Abington’s Jaime Rivera.
Over in the Continental, Upper Dublin dominated the team with four first-team selections on offense. Quarterback Colin O’Sullivan, running back Nyfise McIntrye, wide receiver Griffin Pensabene and offensive lineman Kyree Butler were alsofirst teamers. Souderton’s Shaun Purvy, wide reciever Danny Dyches, tight end Grayson Largent, offensive lineman Ben McMackin and kicker Ty Quintois were all first-team selections. On defense, Upper Dublin’s Butler, defensive end Riley Hackett, linebacker Dom Paone, linebacker Jacob Cornbluth and defensive back D.J. Cerisier all made the first team. Souderton defensive Aiden Elliott, defensive end Kahlil Williams, defensive back Purvy and punter Ryan Zuk were all first-teamers.
Over in the American Conference, Plymouth-Whitemarsh put five players on the first team with quarterback Aiden O’Brien, running back Luke Winterbottom, offensive lineman Zach Smith, tight end Jared Kolsun, and wide receiver Seve Spruill all making the first team. Springfield added two players on the first team with running back Dylan McKenzie and offensive lineman Will Shapley making the first team.
On defense, PW had six players on the first team with defensive lineman Zach Smith, defensive end Joe Foy, linebacker Tommy Hannon, linebacker O’Brien, defensive Nayze Boggs and Spruill at punter making the first team. Wissahickon linebacker Jaden McLean and Springfield defensive back McKenzie were also firstteamers.
