Kathleen A. “Kathy” Mastrocola, (née Honeyman), of Ardmore, passed away peacefully and gracefully following a brief illness, on November 24, 2022, a week before her 76th birthday, and three months after the death of her husband, Rocco J. Mastrocola.

Kathy was born in Norristown and attended Saint Francis of Assisi Grade School, Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, and Manor Junior College in Jenkintown. She spent many of her professional years fulfilling her passion for working with children, teaching pre-school and kindergarten, and recently was an active parishioner at St. Denis Church in Havertown, PA.

In addition to her husband, Kathy was also predeceased by her son, Robert; her parents, Hon. Robert W. Honeyman and Mary G. Atkins Honeyman; and her brother, Joseph Edward Honeyman. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Tim) McGlinchey of Oreland; her loving grandchildren Jake and Tabitha McGlinchey; her sisters, Marybeth (Raymond) Leary of North Wales and Virginia (Andrew) McDermott of Ocean Grove, NJ; her brothers, Robert W. (Marlene) Honeyman Jr. of Doylestown and Gregory (Robin) Honeyman of North Wales; her many loving nieces and nephews; and Rocco’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Being in the presence of Kathy was always a uniquely active and engaging encounter. Her enthusiasm and zest for life livened every room she entered, never missing an opportunity to regale her audience with another story or experience. Her heart had an infinite capacity for love and anyone she met was immediately the beneficiary of her caring and animated nature. But her greatest attention and love were reserved for her husband Rocco. During his protracted illness, Kathy selflessly provided the loving care that he needed and deserved.

Family and friends may call from 9:30 am to 10:50 am at St. Denis Catholic Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, PA 19083, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am on Friday, December 2, 2022.
