Ra­mona Kath­line Beard, 73, of Garfield, died Nov. 26, 2018, in North­west

Cen­ter in Ben­tonville.

She was born March 24, 1945, in Bak­ers­field, Calif., to Wil­liam Kiser Swearin­gen and Inez Roland Swearin­gen.

She moved from Bak­ers­field to Garfield 11 years ago to make her home. She was a cook at R.E. Baker El­e­men­tary School in Ben­tonville for five years and en­joyed cro­chet­ing and cook­ing. She loved tak­ing care of her fam­ily es­pe­cially her chil­dren and grand­chil­dren.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; and a daugh­ter, Heather Ad­kins.

Sur­vivors are four daugh­ters, An­gelina Chris­tensen of Im­pe­rial, Neb., Machael Ray (Ken­neth) of Selig­man, Mo., Nancy Brown (Chris) of Garfield and Crys­tal Donato of Bak­ers­field; sib­lings, Judy Wag­gner, Paula Car­reno, Bill Swearin­gen and Dou­glas Swearin­gen; 13 grand­chil­dren, Stori, Court­ney, Des­tiny, Vi­o­let, Cen­thany, Suzanna, Ida, Joel, Aaron, Tiana, Steven, Tim and Dakota; and great-grand­chil­dren, Zaya, Is­abelle and one on the way.

Ser­vice was 1 p.m. Mon­day, Dec. 3, in Sisco Fu­neral Chapel in Pea Ridge, Ark.

Burial was in Rud­dick Ceme­tery.

Re­hab in Ben­tonville. She was born Sept. 27, 1928, in Garfield, to Al­bert Lee Shaf­fer and Mag­gie Byler Shaf­fer.

She was a Chris­tian and en­joyed sew­ing, quilt­ing, em­broi­dery and read­ing.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; one daugh­ter, Carolyn Cowan; two broth­ers, Loyd Shaf­fer and Joe Shaf­fer; and one sis­ter, Sharon Nash.

Sur­vivors are her hus­band, David Canoy of Ben­tonville; one brother, Howard Shaf­fer (Frances) of Rogers; three sis­ters, Lorie Holl­away of Rich­land, Wash., Lula Gacs of Rogers and Marie Main of Ben­tonville; three grand­chil­dren; eight great-grand­chil­dren; and nine great-great­grand­chil­dren.

Ser­vice was at 1 p.m. Fri­day, Nov. 30, in Sisco Fu­neral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Burial was in Rud­dick Ceme­tery.

Betty Sue DeWitt

Betty Sue DeWitt, 81, of Pea Ridge, died Tues­day, Nov. 27, 2018, in Mercy Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Rogers. She was born July 18, 1937, in Mar­ble, to Arthur Al­bert Lynch and Sarah Ann McCol­lough Lynch.

She en­joyed read­ing and be­ing around chil­dren. She was a mem­ber of the Pea Ridge Church of the Nazarene where she was very ac­tive.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Tracey DeWitt; her par­ents; and a sis­ter, Reba Py­att.

Sur­vivors are one daugh­ter, Pamela Cox of Pea Ridge; three sons, David Henry (Pansy) of Ben­tonville, Bryan Henry (Maryanne) of Washburn, Mo., and Greg Henry (Tonya) of Ge­orge­town, Texas; two sis­ters, Helen Pierce (Tommy) of Chanute, Mont., and Kathy Walker (Gale) of Bella Vista; three broth­ers, Max Lynch of Bella Vista, Jim Lynch (Eva Sue) of Fayet­teville, and Don Lynch (Phyl­lis) of Hous­ton, Texas; 14 grand­chil­dren; and 13 great-grand­chil­dren.

Vis­i­ta­tion was 5-7 p.m. Satur­day, Dec. 1, in Sisco Fu­neral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Fu­neral was at 2:30 p.m. Sun­day, Dec. 2, in First Bap­tist Church in Pea Ridge.

Burial was in Ben­tonville City Ceme­tery.
