Stitched With Love

Stitched with Love had is monthly meeting on Sept. 17, 2019. There were 17 members present.

For Show and Tell this month, a member demonstrated to the group how to make the small zippered bags out of M & M candy wrapper packages. There will be some of these bags for sale at the club’s booth at the Mule Jump on Oct. 12.

After cutting quilt kits to take home and sew, members had refreshments and enjoyed talking to other members of personal projects that they were working on at home.

Stitched with Love will have a craft booth at the annual Pea Ridge Mule Jump on Oct. 12. Handmade items will be for sale, and several items will be offered at Silent Auction Items, including two quilts and a handcrafted wooden bowl. Both the quilts in bowl will be on display at Equity Bank and Arvest Bank in Pea Ridge beginning Sept. 30 through Oct.11. All proceeds from the sale will go to purchase materials to make quilts, pillows and hats for the seriously ill children at Arkansas Children’s and Children’s Northwest.

The next SWL meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 15 in Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church (basement), 1300 N. Davis St., Pea Ridge. We would love to have you come and visit us to see what we do in support of seriously ill children.
