Invaders top Nanticoke

Matt Williams scored 12 points to lead fifth-ranked West Scranton to a 44-30 win over previously unbeaten Nanticoke on Monday night in a nonconfere­nce boys basketball game.

It was the second victory in as many nights for the Invaders, who won the Jerry Finan Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

DeShawn Minnick added 10 points for the winners.

Luke Butczynski had nine points for Nanticoke.
