John J. O’Don­nell Jr., 85, of Roar­ing Brook Twp., died Satur­day evening at his home af­ter an ill­ness. His wife of 62 years is the for­mer El­iz­a­beth Ann Lud­wikowski.

Born Oct. 10, 1931, in Scran­ton, son of the late John J. and Mol­lie Ra­dle O’Don­nell, John was a 1949 grad­u­ate of Scran­ton Cen­tral High School and served in the Navy Re­serve, ob­tain­ing the rank of elec­tri­cian’s mate third-class.

John was owner of O’Don­nell Con­struc­tion for many years and was a mem­ber of St. Cather­ine of Siena Church, Moscow. He was a mem­ber of Knights of Colum­bus Coun­cil 6050 in Moscow, and was a past grand knight and a fourthde­gree mem­ber.

Also sur­viv­ing are his chil­dren, Pa­tri­cia E. Daniels and hus­band, Rick, Ex­ton; John J. O’Don­nell III and wife, Gemma, Flagstaff, Ariz.; Kath­leen A. Cun­ning­ham and hus­band, Michael, Lans­dale; and Paul V. O’Don­nell, Scran­ton; four grand­chil­dren, Christo­pher Daniels, Matthew Daniels, Colleen O’Don­nell and Kara Breazeale; three great-grand­chil­dren, Ella and Alexan­dria Daniels, and Brook­lyn Gemma Breazeale; nieces and neph­ews.

He was also pre­ceded in death by his sis­ters, Ar­lene Murray and Jac­que­line Marker.

Mass will be cel­e­brated Fri­day at 10 a.m. in St. Cather­ine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow. In­ter­ment will be at St. Cather­ine’s Ceme­tery, Moscow.
