Joseph J. Christina, 74, of Ster­ling, died Fri­day at home. His wife is the for­mer June Am­mer­man.

Born Aug. 11, 1942, in Car­bon­dale, son of the late Joseph and Mar­jorie Brown Christina, he was a grad­u­ate of For­est City Re­gional High School and served in the Air Force. Be­fore re­tire­ment, Joseph worked for RCA. He was an avid hunter and fish­er­man and will be greatly missed.

Also sur­viv­ing are sons, Brian Christina and wife, Kris, Van­dling; Scott Christina and wife, Laura, Clif­ford Twp.; and Tom Hine­line and wife, Michele, Ster­ling; sis­ters, Joan Green­law, Texas; Jean Zigon, Car­bon­dale; and Ann Wag­ner, Van­dling; a brother, Cricket Christina, Brown­dale; nine grand­chil­dren; nine great-grand­chil­dren; nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

He was also pre­ceded in death by a sis­ter, Kay Costanzo.

Visitation will be Fri­day from 9 to 11 a.m. with a bless­ing ser­vice at 11 in the Kevin M. Les­jack Funeral Home, 513 Main St., For­est City. In­ter­ment will be pri­vate.
