Dominic J. Lupini

Dominic J. Lupini, 88, a resident of Olyphant and formerly of Peckville, died Sunday at the home of his friend, Peter Hallock.

Born March 6, 1928, in Jessup, son of the late Joseph and Theresa Lipparelli Lupini, he was a 1945 graduate of Blakely High School and attended a two-year college. Before retiring, Dom was a food broker-purchaser for the Atlantic and Pacific Food Co. (A&P) and also for Affiliated Foods, Scranton. He was a former parishione­r of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville.

Dom was a dedicated son, brother and friend who loved the ocean and beaches, and was always there to give a lending hand. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who came to know and love him.

Surviving are a sister, Cellia (Ceil) T. Brennan, Peckville; caregivers, Peter and Audrey Hallock, Scranton; godson, Joseph Hallock; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Oliver “Red” Lupini, in 1989.

Per Dominic’s wishes, there will be no public viewing. Cremation will follow.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date at the convenienc­e of the family.
