Do­minic J. Lupini, 88, a res­i­dent of Olyphant and for­merly of Peckville, died Sun­day at the home of his friend, Peter Hal­lock.

Born March 6, 1928, in Jes­sup, son of the late Joseph and Theresa Lip­par­elli Lupini, he was a 1945 grad­u­ate of Blakely High School and at­tended a two-year col­lege. Be­fore re­tir­ing, Dom was a food bro­ker-pur­chaser for the At­lantic and Pa­cific Food Co. (A&P) and also for Af­fil­i­ated Foods, Scran­ton. He was a for­mer parish­ioner of Sa­cred Heart of Je­sus Church, Peckville.

Dom was a ded­i­cated son, brother and friend who loved the ocean and beaches, and was al­ways there to give a lend­ing hand. He will for­ever re­main in the hearts of all who came to know and love him.

Sur­viv­ing are a sis­ter, Cel­lia (Ceil) T. Bren­nan, Peckville; care­givers, Peter and Au­drey Hal­lock, Scran­ton; god­son, Joseph Hal­lock; nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

He was also pre­ceded in death by a brother, Oliver “Red” Lupini, in 1989.

Per Do­minic’s wishes, there will be no pub­lic view­ing. Cre­ma­tion will fol­low.

Pri­vate funeral ser­vices will be held at a later date at the con­ve­nience of the fam­ily.
