City school solution

Editor: Since members of the Scranton School Board can’t figure out how to economize, here’s an idea for them.

Figure out how much it costs per pupil for education. Then cut $1,000 or $2,000 off that figure per student and let any parent who wishes to use that money to enroll their children in any stateaccredited private school. Voila, costs would be cut and parents could be happy.

There would be the same number of teachers with smaller class sizes. It seems like a win-win to me. ANTHONY PERRY MOOSIC
