Chamber honors best with SAGE awards
The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce awarded its Scranton Awards for Growth and Excellence, or SAGE awards, Friday night.
The economic development organization took in more than 80 applications for the annual contest that honors outstanding local businesses and their leaders for talent, creativity and innovation.
The SAGE awards were presented Friday night during the chamber’s annual gala at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center.
The following were named winners:
■ Best Practices in Community Involvement: NET Credit Union.
■ Best Practices in Customer Service: Woodloch Resort.
■ Best Practices in Marketing & Communications: Woodloch Resort.
■ Business of the Year: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
■ Excellence in Leadership: Pepperjam.
■ Fastest Growing Company: Fidelity Bank.
■ Hometown Star: The University of Scranton: Downtown Scavenger Hunt.
■ New & Emerging Business of the Year: Quest Studio.
■ Nonprofit Organization of the Year: Outreach Center for Community Resources.
■ Pride & Progress; Exterior Renovations: Lackawanna College.
■ Pride & Progress; Interior Renovations: Allone Health.
■ Pride & Progress; New Construction: Gertrude Hawk Chocolates.
■ Small Business of the Year: Posture Interactive.
■ Woman of Excellence: Talia Walsh, Quest Studio.
■ People’s Choice Award; Borough of Dunmore: Hometown Heroes Banner Project.
