Irish women whip ’Noles
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Arike Ogunbowale scored 27 points and Jessica Shepard added 26 as No.4-ranked Notre Dame got its transition game going again to beat No. 24 Florida State, 97-70, on Sunday.
Ogunbowale, who had just 13 points on 4-of-15 shooting in Thursday’s loss at No. 25 Miami, moved closer to becoming the school’s leading scorer. She has 2,301 points. Skylar Diggers-smith is the all-time leader at 2,357.

At Blacksburg, Va., Asia Durr scored 34 points and Louisville overcame a nearcollapse.
Sam Fuehring added 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Cardinals, who saw the the Hokies get within 62-56 with under four minutes left.

At Stanford, Calif., Sabrina Ionescu had 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, and Oregon ran its Ncaa-best winning streak to 16 games by running away from Stanford to snap a 29-game losing streak at Maples Pavilion.

At Starkville, Miss., Teaira Mccowan had 24 points and 15 rebounds, Jordan Danberry added 20 points Mississippi State pulled away late to beat Tennessee.
(7) Oregon St. 82, California 74 At Berkeley, Calif., Destiny Slocum scored 26 points and Oregon State overcame an 11-point deficit.
(8) Marquette 93, Villanova 55
At Milwaukee, Natisha Hiedeman scored 22 points, Allazia Blockton had 19 and Marquette beat Villanova for its 12th consecutive victory.

At Piscataway, N.J., Kaila Charles scored 17 points and Maryland extended its lead in the Big Ten by beating Rutgers.

At Syracuse, N.Y., Miranda Drummond made 6 of 9 3-pointers and scored 24 points, and Syracuse beat Boston College.
(16) Iowa 78, Ohio State 52 At Columbus, Ohio, Megan Gustafson had 19 of her 29 points in the second half as Iowa pulled away to beat Ohio State.
Northeastern 77, Towson 68 At Boston, Scranton Prep alum Jess Genco recorded the fifth double-double of her career, scoring 16 points to go with 11 assists, to help Northeastern post a Colonial Athletic Association win over Towson.
Genco also hit two 3 -pointers while moving to 499 career assists, including double digits in assists in two of the past four games.
At Houston, Dejon Jarreau scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half, Corey Davis Jr. also had 16 and No. 12 Houston held off No. 25 Cincinnati, 65-58.
Jarreau added eight rebounds and five assists.
(20) Iowa 80, Northwestern 79
At Iowa City, Iowa, Jordan Bohannon hit a 3-pointer from 23 feet with three-tenths of a second remaining and Iowa rallied from a 13-point deficit to beat Northwestern.
Bohannon finished with 15 points with 3-for-4 shooting from 3-point range, including the winner for Iowa.
