CAN’T EVEN AGREE ON EXIT

The Times-Tribune - - FRONT PAGE -

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump and former national security adviser John Bolton disagreed on the circumstances of Bolton’s ouster. In a midday Twitter post, just 90 minutes before Bolton was scheduled to join Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin for a briefing for reporters, Trump wrote that, on Monday night, he asked Bolton to submit his resignation and that Bolton complied Tuesday morning. But responding to a question from The New York Times via text, Bolton said he had offered Trump his resignation “last night without his asking,” and submitted it in the morning.
