TOPEKA - Leo Anthony Schreiner, 93, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Wednesday April 3, 2024.

Leo was born December 6, 1930, to Leo and Lidwina Riedel Schreiner in Morland, Kansas.

He married Jeanette Marie Moritz on May 24, 1952, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, enjoying almost 72 years together.

Leo served our country for nine years in the Kansas National Guard. He was employed by Hallmark Cards and retired as a manager in 1990 after more than 40 years.

Leo had several hobbies, including maintainin­g a small farm and garden, canning his own vegetables, making his own wine and beer, woodworkin­g, cooking, camping and fishing. Leo was a third degree Knight of Columbus. He and Jeanette lead many grand marches at German wedding dances. Leo was a devoted family man, who was always there for his family. He spent countless hours building his home and helping brothers build theirs.

Leo is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children, Linda (Mike) Knudson, Joyce Tenbrink, Leo (Robin) Schreiner, and Gary (Julie Thomas) Schreiner; ten grandchild­ren, seventeen great-grandchild­ren, 2 step-grandchild­ren; siblings, Ben (Beverly) Schreiner, Marvin (Judy) Schreiner, and Mary Ann Didier; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Clara Schreiner, Leona Perrin, Alvina Konrade Melvin Schreiner, and Ray Schreiner; brothersin-law Mike Perrin, Will Konrade, and Hubert Didier; sisters-in-law, Norma Schreiner, and Judi Schreiner; son-in-law, Tom Tenbrink; and great-grandson, Blake Cazier.

A parish prayer service will be Tuesday, April 9, 5 p.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where family will then greet friends until 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 227 SW Van Buren Street, Topeka KS 66603. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
