TOPEKA - Dale Anthony Rowley, 85, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Dale was born in Almont, Michigan on August 2, 1938, the son of Myron and Dorothy Schlaud Rowley. He graduated from high school in Imlay City, Michigan. Dale joined the United States Army and would meet his future wife, Martha Harmon, while he was an MP stationed in Germany and she worked for the CIA stationed in Switzerlan­d. They married on July 3, 1962, in the Swiss Alps. Following his retirement from the Army, Dale went to work for the Kansas Bureau of Investigat­ion as a Special Agent for 20 years. Dale enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards with friends, visiting with his children, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.

Dale is survived by his children, Mark David Rowley (Benette), Denise Rowley Lafuse (Bradley) and Mitchell Paul Rowley; grandchild­ren, Morgan, Merritt, Donovan and Damon Rowley; siblings, Don Rowley and Doug Rowley (Deborah). He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, parents, brother, David Rowley, sister, Mary Ann Rowley and sister-in-law, Betty Rowley.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where the rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. and funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Rochester Cemetery.
