HAMILTON — Michael F. Spottiswoo­d, 70, of Hamilton Township, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.

Born in New York, N.Y., he was a long time area resident. Mike retired from the New Jersey State Police in 1992. He was a former member of Immaculate Conception Church in Trenton, where he was a Eucharisti­c Minister. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Lawrence 7000 Council; the Holy Name Society; the Hamilton Elks No. 2262; the Ancient Order of the Hibernians of Trenton Division 1, Monsignor Crean; and past president of the Sons and Daughters of Erin. He loved Irish music, poetry and history, and lectured at Bucks County Community College on Irish history.

Predecease­d by his loving wife, Carol Spottiswoo­d, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Donald Kenzakowsk­i; his two grandsons, Benjamin Donald and Joseph Kieran; his sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Richard Nabinger; his sister-in-law and her husband, Doris and Bob Majeski; his many loving godchildre­n, nieces and nephews, and very dear friends, Carlo and Joann Graziani.

Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, at 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 343 S. Broad St., Trenton. Entombment of cremated remains will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton Township. Family and friends may gather on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Saul Colonial Home.
