Special advertising section — italian Festival Roma Bank & Mercer’s Italian American Fest
Aperfect Combination
Roma Bank was founded in the Chambersburg section of Trenton on September 20, 1920, to aid Italian immigrants in achieving the American dream of home ownership. At 92 years old, Roma Bank, the community bank that treats you like family, is a modern banking institution providing the contemporary products and services our customers seek.
With a legacy like that it is no wonder that when the organizers of the Mercer County Italian American Festival came to Roma Bank’s then Chairman Maurice Perilli, he was eager to help. From the festival’s beginnings, Roma Bank has been a proud supporter and currently sponsors the Roma Bank Stage where top name acts perform.
Roma Bank fosters a culture among its employees of giving back to the communities where they do business; therefore, Roma’s support of the festival goes beyond its monetary donation. Bank employees volunteer behind the scenes acting as the festival’s bank. They count and deposit the festival’s daily receipts and make change for the vendors. No small task considering the thousands of visitors the festival attracts, the hours of operation and the number of vendors.
But Roma Bank doesn’t stop with monetary and inkind support. On Thursday evening, Roma Bank spokesperson and proud Italian American Joe Piscopo will take to the Roma Bank Stage welcoming Jerry Blavat and his Oldies Dance Party. On Saturday and Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., look for Roma’s tent where children can have their faces painted compliments of Roma Bank.
A festival celebrating Italian heritage, coupled with the support of a bank with Italian roots committed to the community — the Mercer County Italian American Festival and Roma Bank — a perfect combination for a spectacular event and a good time for all.
