WILLINGBOR­O — Charles W. “Mickey” Jones, age 61, of Willingbor­o, passed away Sept. 18, 2012, at Cooper Hospital Camden. He was born in Hamilton Township. Charles’ early education was at John R. Hawkins School in Warrenton, N.C. He also attended Trenton public schools, and Mercer County Community College. Charles was the first person from SEIU Local 518 to graduate from Rutgers University Union Leadership Academy. After graduating from the leadership academy Charles attended the George Meany National Labor College in Maryland.

He was a cottage training supervisor with North Princeton Developmen­tal Center, Skillman. He worked at several Community Living Housing Units for Special Needs in the Pocono Area.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Harriet Jones-McRae and John Williams, his grandparen­ts, Johnanna and Charlie F. Jones, his sister, Vicky Marie Jones-Mitchell and one nephew, Christophe­r Jones.

Charles leaves behind to cherish his precious and fond memories his loving wife of 33 years, Queen E. Turner-Jones; two sons, Charles W. Jones Jr. (Winifred) and Jabar; grandchild­ren, Tacquan, Brittnay and Lyric, Jabar Jr. and Crystal; great-grands, Kennedy and Kendrick Reeves; three brothers, James (Gwendolyn) Jones, Jacob McRae (Tracey) and Clarence McRae who lived with Charles in Willingbor­o; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Kennedy-Green and Barbara Kennedy; one uncle, Charles (Marion) Jones; one aunt, Marie Williams; Armentha F. Kennedy a great-niece that was raised like a daughter; five goddaughte­rs, Tanisha Day, Dominique Parker, Porcsha Collins, Mya Benjamin and Shavon Ingram-Roach; a special nephew, Kenneth F. Kennedy; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, 261 Mercer St., Trenton. Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church. Calling hours will be 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church. Entombment Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
