EWING — Paul S. Hoffman, 71, of Ewing Township, died of cancer Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Hopewell. He was born Aug. 6, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisc. to John and Frances Hoffman. He married Pamela Michaels in 1967. He was longtime creative director for Cognetics Corp. and a freelance software designer. He loved painting, especially space art, and was a member of the Internatio­nal Associatio­n of Astronomic­al Artists. He was a longtime devoted member of Ewing Presbyteri­an Church, where he was an elder, Clerk of session, a choir member and taught Sunday School for many years with great joy and love. Known for a great sense of humor, he will always be remembered as a master of puns.

Paul is survived by his wife, Pamela Hoffman; son, Andrew and daughter-inlaw Alicia Hoffman; granddaugh­ters, Helena and Sophia Hoffman; and sister, Eunice Fisher. He was predecease­d by his son, Peter Hoffman and brother, Leo Hoffman.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at Ewing Presbyteri­an Church Hall, 100 Scotch Road, Ewing Township, with the Rev. Elizabeth A. Vandegrift, pastor, officiatin­g. In lieu of flowers, a donation in the memory of Paul Hoffman may be given to Ewing Presbyteri­an Capital Campaign Fund, The 1867 Sanctuary at Ewing Fund, or the Cuchara Chapel Fund.
