Stanley John Butcavage
PENNINGTON — Stanley John Butcavage, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 25, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 3, 1929, in Minersville, Pa. He was the son of the late Stanley John Butcavage and Victoria Soboleski Butcavage. Stan served his country for five years in Germany and Japan during the Korean War as a member of the Army Air Force. He was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University. He taught science education in the North Brunswick School District for 33 and 1/2 years. He was an avid athlete and sports fan, especially enjoying the New York Yankees. He will be remembered for his love of family and friends in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Hero, Vt.
He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Butcavage. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; one sister, Eleanor Brown; two sons, Stanley Robert and David John and his wife
Diana; four grandchildren, Katie, Robbie, Ryan and Alexis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 North Main St., Pennington, with the Rev. Daniel Casselberry officiating.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Pennington Cemetery.
