Enjoy 30th Annual AOH Division One Irish Festival this weekend

HAMILTON SQUARE – The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), Monsignor Crean, Division One, will host the 30th annual Division One Irish Festival on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 on the club grounds, located at 2419 Kuser Road in Hamilton Square. Admission is $5 for adults Saturday; and $8 for adults Sunday, both days are free for children, under age 12. Advance tickets are available at the club by calling (609) 586- 5982.

As the area’s longest running Irish festival, the committee is proud to announce that this year’s festival has extended hours, reduced admission, new bands, vendors, featuring both craft and Irish. The festival opens on Saturday at 2 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m. and from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Kicking off the festival at on Saturday at 2 p.m. will be Joe Mullin. The AOH Division 1 Irish Festival is proud to welcome back Eamonn Ryan who will bring his band back this year. Also making their Division 1 Irish Festival inaugural appearance will be Clancy’s Pistols. Jamie and the Quietmen will close out Saturday’s event playing from 8 to 10 p.m. inside at the club.

The Baltimore based Brendan Phelan will open the festival on Sunday at 1 p.m. Headlining the festival and returning again this year will be the Philadelph­ia-based Bogside Rogues. Closing out the festival will be the high energy Broken Shillelagh­s.

The award-winning AOH Division One Pipe Band will entertain on both days. Also, appearing Saturday will be Rince O Chroi, a traditiona­l and contempora­ry Irish Dancing Class. The DeNogla School of Dance will perform Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and will once again bring the crowd to its feet with its championsh­ip Irish step dancers.

Food and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase. There will also be raffles and activities for the entire family to enjoy. Free children’s area, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
