Bordentown City festival features largest juried craft show
BORDENTOWN CITY — You know when Fall arrives on Farnsworth Avenue in Bordentown City, because the streets, merchants and restaurants gear up for Central Jersey’s largest juried craft show! Tradition starts the first weekend of October kicking off from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, for the 24th Annual Cranberry Festival. The festival is sponsored by the Downtown Bordentown Association and Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc.
Over 140 artisans will be participating. This is one of the largest juried craft shows in central Jersey.
One of the few juried shows in the state, vendors display only handmade products. Jackie Reed, event coordinator, makes sure of that. Upon application submission the vendor is required to send three photos of his work. “This process has been in place since the beginning and has allowed the Cranberry Festival to remain a true craft show,” Reed says.
The weekend’s festivities include a children’s zone, gourmet food vendors, Jersey Fresh wineries, music and amazing handmade, original crafts and art for show and sale.
If you love antique cars then you will want to attend the Annual Quentin Hausser Memorial Car Show on Saturday, Oct 5.
Ocean Spray and the Downtown Bordentown Association are sponsor
