Man arrested with 420 packets of heroin after citizen tips Trenton Police
TRENTON — A man was arrested Saturday and charged with numerous drug offenses after a citizen tipped police to narcotics sales in the neighborhood.
Rajah D. Tulloch-Jones, 29, is charged with possession of heroin, possession of Oxycodone, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, improper behavior, obstructing the administration of law, operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a controlled substance and several drug distribution offenses.
According to Lt. Mark Kieffer, around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, a citizen called emergency 911 and reported seeing narcotics sales take place in the first block of Christoph Street. The caller also provided the description of a suspect’s vehicle, police say, so Officers Tara Dzurkoc and Noel Santiago were dispatched to investigate the call.
When the officers arrived on-scene, police say, they noticed a silver Ford Taurus parked in front of an abandoned house. And the driver, later identified as TullochJones, was sitting in the car.
According to police, when the officers approached the car, they allegedly saw marijuana lying on Tulloch-Jones’ lap. The officers then asked him to show his driver’s license and registration. And that’s when they allegedly saw a bag of Oxycodone pills lying behind the driver’s seat. The officers then noticed packages of heroin lying in plain view on the front passenger seat, according to police.
The officers then placed Tulloch-Jones under arrest, but he began yelling and screaming which caused a crowd to gather, police say.
Law enforcement then seized one clear sandwich bag containing 30 Oxycodone pills, three small clear baggies containing marijuana and 420 glassine packets of heroin.
Police also seized Tulloch-Jones’ car and $2,739 in cash.
