IVA, S.C. — Gail Alyce Sayers-Burns, 72, of Iva, passed away on March 6, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Trenton, N.J. on May 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Norman Gary Sayers and Dorothy B. Mason. She was a member of Good Hope Presbyteri­an Church, where she served on several committees, as well as a member of Reviva, and O.E.S Nottingham Order No.246. She also served on the Iva Planning Commission.

She is survived by her children, Rich Laning (Karin) of New Egypt, N.J., Chris Laning (Victoria) of Cream Ridge, N.J., and Scott Laning (Kathleen) of Iva; grandchild­ren, Dana, Kirsten, Brittany, Jessica, Scott Jr., Lauryn and Raychel; and dear friend, Sally Hummell-Spreng.

Graveside services were held at Iva City Cemetery on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 3 p.m. officiated by Dr. Beryl Rosenberge­r and Pastor Annette Graham. Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, Downtown Chapel, is assisting the family.

PRINCETON — Lorraine Hudson, 84, beloved wife of Roy W. Hudson of Princeton, passed away peacefully at her home on March 24, 2014 following a long illness. She was born Eleanor Lorraine Bennett in Chester C o u n t y, Pa. on October 11, 1929 and grew up in Camden with her mother and her adoptive father, Erma J. and Russell B. Kelchner, and her brother Donald, all of whom have predecease­d her.
