Jon Savage & Classic Rockers to entertain at gala

Jon Savage and the Classic Rockers will entertain guests at this year’s A Taste of America on Thursday, October 8. Since early 2015, Jon Savage & the Classic Rockers have been together as a Mercer County, NJ based rock and roll band. Recently formed originally from a group of veteran musicians with a variety of musical experiences, the band has primarily focused on rock and roll, R&B, and “good time” dance music that gets their fans on the dance floor.

Jon Savage & the Classic Rockers primarily entertain large, dance-oriented crowds, particularly at local and regional festivals, corporate events, and nightclubs throughout the Philadelphia and central New Jersey regions. The band’s resume of cover songs is very extensive, focusing on hits from the ‘60s, and all the way through the ‘70s and ‘80s. Jon Savage & the Classic Rockers cover many crowd and fan favorites, including Motown, James Brown, Chicago, as well as the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, Jimmy Buffett, and lots of tunes that keep our fans energized.

The group are known for a high energy, rock and roll vibe. The band and our members have played such high profile Philadelphia venues as the World Café Live and Penn Treaty Park, but also played a large variety of local clubs/restaurants, large community events, outdoor festivals, and corporate parties throughout the region. Most importantly, Jon Savage & the Classic Rockers are also known for our many volunteer efforts, including several benefit concerts throughout the Mercer County NJ region.

Jon Savage & the Classic Rockers are very proud of the significant amount of support that we give to our local community and our friends and neighbors. We really believe in giving back to our community, and we’re having a lot of fun playing our versions of fun, rock and roll music wherever we go!
