Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library: The Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library will feature the artwork of Clara Sue Beym, John A. Brecko, Jr., Giancarla Macaluso, Bill Plank, Helene Plank, Margaret Simpson and Margaret Woo in an exhibit titled “Mercer Family and Friends 2016.” The exhibit opens Monday, May 2, and continues through Friday, May 27, 2016. The common thread among these artists is that all of them were associated with Mercer County Community College. Historic Cornelius Low House, Middlesex County Museum: Icons of American Culture: History of New Jersey Diners is a compelling exhibit through June of 2016documenting the history of the Garden State’s most iconic eateries. This seven-room exhibit is housed inside the historic Cornelius Low House, Middlesex County’s museum, located at 1225River Road, Piscataway, NJ. Philadelphia Museumof Art: The museum presents “International Pop” running through May 15, 2016. This exhibition chronicles Pop art’s emergence as a global movement, migrating from the United Kingdomand the United States to western and eastern Europe, Latin America, and Japan. Focusing on work made from 1956to 1972, the exhibition presents Pop art as a movement that is at turns celebratory, critical, and probing in its message. With 120works, including paintings, sculptures, prints, collage, assemblage, installation, film, and ephemera, the exhibition highlights influential artists from twenty different countries. Alfa Art Gallery: Alfa Art Gallery announces the first exhibition to start off the spring season, The New Brunswick Art Salon: featuring Arts Council of Princeton. This exhibition running to April 23will exclusively feature art instructors from Arts Council of Princeton, bringing their professional knowledge and recent artistic visions to the availability of Alfa Art Gallery audience. Merging the New Brunswick Community Arts Council and Arts Council of Princeton presents a unique opportunity for all
