PDS baseball rolls past Lawrenceville
LAWRENCEVILLE >> After three scoreless innings, the Princeton Day School baseball team put up a four-spot at James C. Waugh Field. From there, the Panthers rolled to a 15-1 win over Lawrenceville Thursday.
Luke Franzoni doubled and knocked in four runs. Russ Kirczow drove in three runs, and Zach Dudeck had two runs batted in.
A.J. Ryan pushed across the Big Red’s lone run with a two-out single in the fifth to plate Lorenzo Lagares, who was pinchrunning for Michael O’Hare (single).
POSTPONEMENTS
The other five high school baseball games on Thursday’s schedule were postponed by afternoon rain.
Robbinsville’s game at Allentown and Bordentown’s game at Cinnaminson will be made up Friday.
Florence’s game at Maple Shade will be made up at 3:45 p.m. Monday, April 11.
Trenton Catholic Academy’s home game with Medford Tech will be played at 3:45 p.m. Friday, April 15.
Northern Burlington’s game at Cinnaminson was postponed with no new date at this time.
Girls Lacrosse
PDS 9, PRINCETON 8 PRINCETON >> Hannah Bunce scored four goals, Madison Mundenar added two and the Panthers (3-2) held off the Little Tigers (3-1) in the second half. Julia Ryan and Mariana Lopez-Ona split four tallies for Princeton. PENNINGTON 13, WW-P NORTH 12 PLAINSBORO >> Christine Carugati grabbed five goals, Morgan Pinado caged four and the Red Raiders (2-0) edged the Knights (1-3) in OT. Carli Harpel had six tallies for North.
Boys Lacrosse
ROBBINSVILLE 15, FREEHOLD TWP. 7 ROBBINSVILLE >> Mike Sanguinetti paced a balanced attack for the Ravens (22) with five goals and Corey Kale chipped in three. LAWRENCEVILLE 5, PDS 4 PRINCETON >> Matthew Huber notched a pair of scores and the Big Red (42) held off the Panthers (2-1). Four different PDS players scored in the loss.
