Trenton

Drug Raid: Rodney Simmons, 45, was arrested Wednesday after police raided his Anderson Street home and found 10grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale and a loaded .32 caliber revolver. Officials say Simmons was the target of a two-month investigat­ion. Police stopped him as he was driving his BMW in the area of Dayton and South Broad streets. Detectives then raided his home. Simmons is charged with various drug and weapons offenses. His bail was set at $50,000cash or bond. The street value of the cocaine is $1,000. Police also seized $3,740and the BMW as suspected drug proceeds.

Shooting: Capping off a violent Wednesday, a 26-yearold male was shot in the leg around 6:50p.m. while in the 100block of Walnut Avenue. The victim told police he never saw the gunman, but suddenly heard gunshots and then felt pain in his leg. He was taken to the hospital by a friend.

Bribe for Gun: Joel Lopez, 33, was arrested and charged with weapons offenses Wednesday in connection with an incident that happened last year. According to police, on Dec. 12 last year, a 2007Suzuki was towed by Hawk’s Recovery and Towing for an unknown reason. Later, a Hispanic male, identified as Lopez, went to Hawk’s and offered to pay employees $200 if they would allow him to grab something out of the car. When the employees refused, Lopez allegedly offered them $500, which they also declined. Hawk’s employees later found a handgun in the car and reported it to police. Over the past few months, police developed enough probable cause to charge Lopez with weapons offenses, and warrants were issued for his arrest. Lopez was apprehende­d by Hamilton police Wednesday evening.

West Windsor

Shopliftin­g: Sharon McNeil, 28, of Trenton, was recently arrested after she and an unknown person allegedly stole $1,112worth of children’s clothes from Kohl’s. At the time of her arrest, police say, McNeil was in possession of a mesh bag containing the unpaid merchandis­e. The co-conspirato­r remains on the run.

Shopliftin­g Too: Ashidda Kearney, 35, of Trenton, was recently arrested after she allegedly stole $219.66worth of items from WalMart. Police say Kearney concealed the items in plastic bags she had in her cart and then left the store without paying for them.

More Shopliftin­g: Allan Sirjoo, 36, of Trenton, was recently arrested after allegedly stealing $507.51worth of merchandis­e from WalMart. Police say Sirjoo placed numerous items into a shopping cart and then passed all points of sale without paying for the merchandis­e.

Bristol, Pa

Theft from Auto: Approximat­ely $583in cash was stolen out of a 2016Chrysl­er that was parked in the 100block of Orchard Lane.

Stolen Meds: Prescripti­on medication valued at $216 was stolen out of a 2007 Dodge that was parked in the 100block of Jonquil Lane.

Missing Phone: Someone smashed the front window on a 2009Ford that was parked in the 1200block of Veterans Highway and stole a phone. The damage and loss is estimated at $600.

Theft from Auto: Various tools and DVDs were stolen out of a 2003Ford that was parked in the 3800block of Newportvil­le Road. The loss is estimated at $1,175.
