Lenape smokes four homers in triumph
CHERRY HILL >> The Lenape High softball team showed its power Thursday by belting four home runs in a 13-5 win over Cherry Hill West.
Evening its record at 6-6, Lenape got home runs from Jess Chen, Julia Rosenblatt and Kendra Mahon. In addition, Serena Lam was 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Chen, Mahon. Rosenblatt and Devon Horner all had two hits. Courtney Carroll reached base four times and stole four bases. EAST BRUNSWICK 7, ALLENTOWN 2 EAST BRUNSWICK >> Allentown lost for the fourth time in its last five games despite a home run from standout freshman Alyssa Notorianni as well as a double and single from Alyssa Ariano.
East Brunswick got two home runs by Ashli Venokur and one from Allie Warren. Venokur had three hits, and Samantha Smalley and Warren each had two in support of pitcher Alyssa Ippolito. Heather Devine took the loss.
