Strapped while Asleep: Harrison Andress, 27, was arrested Wednesday after police found him sleeping inside a car with a gun in his waistband and crystal meth inside the vehicle. Police say Officer Mark Ice II was dispatched to the 400 block of Hewitt Street around 9a.m. after officials received a call regarding a sick or injured male inside an idling vehicle. When Ice arrived on scene, he found Harrison reclined in the driver’s seat with his eyes closed. Police say it took a few minutes for Harrison to respond to Ice’s attempts to get his attention. But when he finally awoke, police say, Harrison fumbled around while reaching for his driving credentials. Harrison was eventually ordered to step out of the car, and he allegedly admitted he had a gun in his waistband. Harrison was then arrested, and when police searched his car they found a bag containing crystal meth and a glass pipe. Harrison’s bail was set at $50,000.
