Annie Pearl Hodges of Trenton

Annie Pearl Hodges, a lifelong resident of Trenton, NJ died suddenly Tuesday, August 16, 2016. She was 66.

Annie Pearl Hodges was born January 15, 1950 in Trenton, NJ to the late Mattie Pearl Slaton-McNear and Clinton R Hodges Sr.

Annie was educated in the Trenton Public School System. She graduated from Trenton High School, and enlisted into the U.S. Navy. Afterward she attended Mercer County Community College. She was employed at UPI as a Case Worker, as a Social Worker for the City of Trenton and there began her devotion to community service.

She retired but continued her community service at the Trenton Food Bank, AA Program at Cadwalader Asbury United Methodist Church and Better Community Housing of Trenton Inc. Board of Directors under Fr. Brian McCor-mick.Annie was a devoted,ac-tive member of Cadwalader Asbury United Methodist Church.

Annie was predeceased by her mother Mattie Pearl SlatonMcNear, father Clinton R. Hodges Sr. and her brother Clinton Roy Hodges Jr.

She leaves to cher-ish her many memo-ries, her siblings; Carl Slaton (Juanita), JoyAnn Dale (Joe), Clifton Hodges (Margaretha), Althea ParkerAlford (Clarence), Jackie McNear, Robert McNear, Charles McNear (Gail); Clarence Hodges, DeWayne Hodges (Irene), Mymie Hodges-Mitchell, Norman Hodges (Roain), Michelle Hodges-Elmore (Cleveland); a host of nieces and nephews; goddaughters Jolisa Dale and Mya Hodges and Godson Der-rick Hodges;a special friend Rita Pronckeviciute and Ms Delores I. Hodges, who she affectionately called mom.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, August 26,2016 at Cadwalader Asbury United Methodist Church, 1985 Pennington Rd, Ewing, NJ. Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Inter-ment in Ewing Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
