Donald J. Hendershot of Trenton

Donald J. Hendershot, 51, of Trenton has been accepted into God’s loving embrace on Sunday, August 21, 2016. “Donnie” as he was affectionately referred to by his family and friends was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan who enjoyed being involved in the football pools. He liked listening to christian music and had a passion for tree climbing. Donnie spent quality time with his daughter Amanda, watching Spongebob and always beating her in monopoly.

Donnie is predeceased by his father Bernard Hendershot. Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his loving mother, Margaret Hendershot; beautiful daughter Amanda Hendershot and her supportive mother, Mary Hendershot; caring brothers and sistersin-law James and Donna Hendershot, David Hendershot and Tracy Peterson, Joseph and Marcia Hendershot, and Edward and Christine Hendershot; as well as 12 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends will miss him deeply.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, noon at the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad Street (Rte 206), Trenton, NJ 08611 (parking facility and handicap access located directly behind the funeral home). Visiting hours for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. until noon. Interment: Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to be made to Amanda Hendershot, PO Box 1612, Levittown, PA 19058, funds will be contributed to college fund.
