Joseph F. Giquinto Jr., 78, of Columbus, NJ passed away peacefully October 17, 2016 with his loving son at his bedside.

Mr. Joseph F. Gigunito (Giquinto) (Joey Bear) was born in Trenton. He retired from the Glaziers Union 1183 and the Iron Workers Union 68. and was a custodian at the Hamilton Township Board of Education Administra­tion Bldg.

A Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War on board USS Tarawa CV-4S.

A member of the Italian American Sportsman Club and American Legion Post 31 and formerly of the Hightstown ELKS.

He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing in Maryland.

Son of the late Joseph & Anna Vaniscko Gigunito; Husband of the late Charlene P. (Luther) Giquinto his beloved wife of 43 years; Brother of the late Maryanne Conti and Rocco Gigunito.

Surviving are his six children and spouses: Joseph C. Giquinto of Daytona Beach, FL; Carol Giguinto, Tennessee; Sheryl & Mark Zuczek of Yardville; Cindy & Frank Kornfeld of North Hanover, NJ; Blanche Giguinto of Coco, FL; Louis Giquinto and Brandy Barefield of Mercervill­e. Grandchild­ren, Tiffany, Joseph, James, Kansas, Nicholas, Amber, Jacob, Kyle, Samantha, Blanche and Jacqulyn. Great grandson Leonardo. Two brothers Richard & Vivian Giquinto and Wayne & Karen Giquinto. Special niece and nephew, Karen Conti and David Luther. A good friend Lynn Nelson of Brigantine and Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday with Christian prayer services at 11 a.m. at Knott’s Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St. Hamilton.

The Rev. Douglas Whiteside will officiate.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08050.
